Hi, I’m Sonia. I’m a transfer student at the University of Oregon, and I have an Associate's degree from Chemeketa Community College. I'm majoring in journalism with a concentration in writing and disability studies.

I have published articles about immigration rights and student life with award-winning newspapers such as The Salem Reporter, The Cooper Point Journal, and The Chemeketa Courier. I have produced a variety of School of Journalism and Communication visual, audio, and writing course projects, concerning music, culture, and grassroots activism.

I spend my time doing yoga, hanging out with my cat Ginger, and exploring what hikes Oregon has to offer.
